Retrofitting a 20-year-old built mass for a family-run car re-selling business. Here the ground floor is envisioned as a more public space with the experience center at the front and all the private areas along the rear end of the plot. The openings are designed to maximize natural light gain but ensure privacy at the same time. All openings are guarded with intricate perforated screens to add another layer of detail over the otherwise mundane glass. The first floor is majorly for the clients and their team’s recreation.
An open pantry and sitting area with indoor stepped seating, a foosball table make the space livelier. Breaking away from the more open typology of the floor, the conference room enjoys some disconnect from the public space and sits at the rear end.
