This one is a habitat and workspace in a dense New Delhi neighborhood. While the structure is nearing completion, we are spending our days and nights on the little details. Natural materials, lime plasters, GRC jaalis, and lots of natural greens form the material palette for this one.

 

The front openings face a lush green garden whereas the other side faced a service road, and hence the GRC jaalis, double-height MS louvers to ensure privacy but also get some natural light. A side-facing courtyard and a circular staircase help to break away from the otherwise blocky approach.
